Hollywood actor Alec Baldwin celebrated deeply into the night after the trial in Santa Fe, New Mexico, was declared over due to procedural errors and lack of evidence in the case of the fatal accident on the set of "Rust".
Shortly beforehand, a small group gathered around the actor in the bar of the Eldorado hotel in Santa Fe. Besides his wife Hilaria Baldwin and his younger daughters Carmen (11) and Ilaria (1), his lawyers Alex Spiro and Luke Niklas were also present at the festivities. According to media reports, his brothers Stephen and Beth and a film team currently producing a documentary about the tragedy were also on site.
However, no cameras were present at the intimate party itself, not even for the separate TLC reality show "The Baldwins". After a few hours at the bar, around 8 pm, Baldwin reportedly went back to his hotel room to freshen up and went to the nearby Mexican restaurant Casa Chimayo with his family for dinner.
With the proceedings ending due to deliberately withheld evidence from the prosecution, the actor cannot be held responsible for any new criminal proceedings regarding the fatal shot. Although civil lawsuits are still possible, at least no prison sentence threatens him.
After his triumph in court, Alec Baldwin expressed his joy through various entertainment activities with his family and close associates. The film team, including Alec Baldwin himself, continued the documentation of the tragic events, highlighting the intricate processes involved.
