Elton John (77) allowed the final performance of his "Farewell Yellow Brick Road" tour, which ran from September 2018 to July 2023, to take place at the side of his husband David Furnish (61) once again. "During the last show in Stockholm on the farewell tour before Glastonbury, I got into the car and said: 'Yes! Yes!'," recalled the legendary Rocket Man in a conversation with "Entertainment Tonight". "We were at the peak, exactly as I wanted, and there was no going back after that."

When asked if he could imagine giving concerts again, he answered expectedly with a brief "No" - and then let his husband David have the floor. "He has done it for 60 years," added the Canadian film producer. It's nice now to finally spend more time at home with the family.

"We don't want to miss anything"

"Our sons, you know, they're coming into their teenage years now," explained Furnish with reference to the two common children of the couple, Zachary (13) and Elijah (11), who were born through a surrogate mother. "We don't want to miss anything. We want to be there," so the Canadian film producer. "I believe it's something like a key decade in a child's life."
