American singer Bebe Rexha, who has Albanian ancestry, encountered discrimination at Munich Airport last weekend. She claimed a Lufthansa flight supervisor threatened and psychologically harassed her due to her ethnicity. Lufthansa has pledged to probe into the matter.
Bebe Rexha's eyes welled up as she shared her recent ordeal with her followers on Instagram Stories. She recounted an unsettling experience at Munich Airport that left her distraught. The 34-year-old singer, of Albanian descent, claimed she was subjected to threats and mental torment by a Lufthansa flight manager because she perceived him to be Albanian.
"I thought the security officer was Albanian, so I confronted him in Albanian and asked for my ticket location," Rexha explained, continuing, "Now, they're barring me from the flight."
Rexha did not provide any additional details about the alleged event, labeling it a "hate crime" driven by her ethnicity. The faceless airport official refused to disclose his identity and subjected her to psychological abuse, failing to receive assistance from any female staff.
Lufthansa responds to Bebe Rexha
Subsequently, Lufthansa responded to the accusations. The German airline maintained that they were attempting to comprehend the situation and did not condone any discriminatory practices. A representative from the company stated, "We have contacted Bebe Rexha and are actively engaged in addressing the situation."

Initially, it was uncertain if Rexha would be able to fly from Munich Airport. However, she subsequently updated her stories, writing, "Thank you to everyone who reached out and expressed their concern. I'm glad to say I safely made it home."
