- Simone's wife says goodbye on Instagram
Only a few weeks ago, they got married, now Simone Lugner (42) has bid farewell to her husband, the late Richard Lugner (1932-2024), on Instagram. In a few but moving lines, she addresses her late husband one last time.
Richard Lugner was the dream of her life
"you were the dream of my life," writes Simone Lugner, also known as "Bienchen", on a portrait of the deceased. "And when I saw you smile at my sight, I knew I was yours too," she continues. The profile picture of the 42-year-old on Instagram is currently completely blacked out, presumably as a sign of mourning.
"Moertel", Lugner's nickname, married his Simone on June 1st in Vienna. It was his sixth marriage. Previously, he had married, among others, Christina "Mausi" Lugner (59) and Cathy "Spatzi" Lugner (34), who also expressed their condolences.
"Moertel" remains an unforgettable role model
"Richard was my great role model and the person who shaped my life, I owe him a lot," said "Mausi" to the Austrian "Kronen Zeitung". She had spoken to him on the phone just last Sunday. "I've learned so much from him, he believed in me and trusted me." The former couple was married from 1991 to 2007.
Richard Lugner was married to "Spatzi" between 2014 and 2016. "When I heard the tragic news of your death this morning, I was in shock. Richard, you seemed immortal to me too," she wrote on Instagram. And further: "Your commitment, your willpower, your courage were inspiring and infectious. I thank you from the bottom of my heart for the wonderful time by your side, for everything you taught me about life." He will not be forgotten.
"Though Marriage to 'Spatzi' was brief, lasting from 2014 to 2016, the impact Richard Lugner had on her was profound," she noted on Instagram. "His Marriage to 'Mausi', however, shaped my life significantly, and he remains my greatest role model," Christina "Mausi" Lugner shared with the Austrian 'Kronen Zeitung'.
