Rumer Willis, 36, and Derek Richard Thomas, 30, are no longer an item, approximately 14 months after the arrival of their daughter. Willis confirmed this in an Instagram post during a Q&A session. When queried about their current relationship status, she responded, "Nah, I'm a solo mom now, and we're co-parenting."
She expressed her deep appreciation for her daughter, Louetta Isley Thomas Willis, born on April 18, 2023. "She's my world, and I'm eternally grateful for the time in that relationship that allowed her to enter it."
Willis did not disclose the specifics of when or why she and Thomas parted ways. They were reportedly together since around 2022. On Father's Day in June 2024, Thomas praised his partner on Instagram, addressed to their daughter Lou, "Thank you for existing, and thank you, @rumerwillis, for being my loving partner on this parenting adventure. I love you both."
Rumer Willis plans for more children
In her Instagram story, Willis also expressed her wish to have more children, approximately 6 or 7, all by herself. She cherishes the experience of having siblings and yearns for her daughter to experience the same joy.
Her sisters Scout, 33, Tallulah, 30, Mabel, 12, and Evelyn, 10, are her "best friends and favorite people." She hopes for the same for her daughter and is "open to whatever that may look like in the future."
Bruce Willis is "killing it"
During the Q&A, Willis also provided an update on her father's health: "He's killing it. I adore him." The family of Bruce Willis revealed in February 2023 that the actor had been diagnosed with frontotemporal dementia. A year prior, they had publicly announced that the Hollywood legend was battling speech disorder aphasia, leading him to step away from public life.
