Gilroy stated that Duvall passed away in her sleep due to complications from a diabetes condition in her home in the US state of Texas.
"My beloved, sweet, wonderful life partner and friend has left us. In recent times, she suffered too much, now she is free. Fly away, beautiful Shelley," Gilroy shared with "The Hollywood Reporter."
