In a chat with "People", actress Alyson Hannigan, known for her role as Lily Aldrin in "How I Met Your Mother", opened up about why she hasn't watched the spin-off series, "How I Met Your Father". She admitted that being too nostalgic is the reason behind her avoidance. During an encounter, her co-star Cobie Smulders showed Hannigan some set photos from the spin-off, which unfortunately stirred some emotions. Hannigan's husband, Alexis Denisof (who portrayed TV host Sandy Rivers), also featured in the spin-off, and Pamela Fryman, who directed numerous episodes of "How I Met Your Mother", helmed many episodes of the sequel. Despite admitting that she probably should have watched it, Hannigan revealed that she couldn't bring herself to do so due to the nostalgia. "Looking at the set photos made me a bit sad.", she shared.

In April, she paid tribute to the show's finale on Instagram, which marked a decade since the show went off the air, sharing a collection of sitcom photos. She expressed, "I can't believe it's been 10 years since the show ended."
