Jenny Jürgens: A Character Analysis - She has experienced shingles for two consecutive weeks.

Jenny Jürgens, previously known as the "Red Roses" star, is undergoing hardships in her residence in Mallorca. The 57-year-old, daughter of Udo Jürgens, has recently been dealing with a severe case of shingles. In a recent Instagram post, she shared photographs of her facial wounds and provided tips on managing this health ordeal. Her condition has drastically improved.

Healing gradually underway

"14th day of shingles. Today, the harsh medications come to an end. Thank goodness!", shares the former actress, now focused primarily on her love for photography. "These medicines were draining my energy. The need for painkillers continues to prevent the onset of post-herpetic neuralgia. The wounds are healing gradually, though they are diminishing."

Though shingles had been a foreign concept until its impact on her, Jürgens noticed, "So many people are unaware of shingles' existence… until they encounter it." Shingles, which affects one in three individuals at least once in their life, is a painful disease characterized by a rash and nerve pain, as well as vision and hearing problems. A vaccination is available against this condition. The Standing Vaccination Commission suggests getting the vaccine from the age of 60, but it is also acceptable to be vaccinated starting at 50.

The importance of aloe vera, patience, and cortisone cream

As Jenny Jürgens has experienced a considerable amount of time dealing with shingles, she imparts her gained knowledge to her admirers: "Fresh aloe vera (we have enough) and light cortisone cream, along with patience. Never scratch!" While the sun would normally be a welcomed amenity, Jürgens scratches her head about being unable to soak in it. Now, her focus is on nurturing her immune system and has an upcoming session of infusions lined up.

Jürgens also extends gratitude to her husband, film director David Carreras Solé, who has been a significant source of support throughout her suffering, acknowledging, "Without you, I'm not sure how I could've made it through."
