As British chef Jamie Oliver (49) recently revealed in a radio interview, Aniston hired him to cook for Pitt's birthday. "I was Brad Pitt's birthday present from Jen," Oliver said. "She called and we hung up three times because we couldn't believe it was really her. So she had to contact my agent through her agent, but I didn't really have an agent, so it took a while."
Oliver also recalled his conversation with Aniston: "She said, 'Would you cook for Brad? He loves 'The Naked Chef' and watches it all the time on TV.' I said, 'Of course, and I'll do it for free because I love you both.'" Jamie Oliver hosted the BBC show "The Naked Chef" from 1999 to 2001.
He's still in touch with Aniston and Pitt
At the actual birthday party, Oliver cooked with two colleagues for the former couple. Guests included Pitt's "Fight Club" co-star Edward Norton (54) and Aniston's "Friends" co-star Courteney Cox (60). Oliver also revealed that he's still in touch with the former couple.
Usually, he doesn't like to cook for celebrities, "unless they're already at the restaurant or I'm asked by someone I love or admire." But in this case, it was different: "It was Brad's 40th, so I've known him for 20 years now... They're both wonderful people. I haven't seen Brad in a while, but I saw Jen a few weeks ago," Oliver said.
