- She expresses her views on the progress made by enthusiastic female spectators.

Ramon Roßelly (30) dropped his fourth studio album titled "Hooked" on August 23rd. The title symbolizes "the craving for sensations of joy and levity," the artist and 2020 "DSDS" champion shared with news agency point on news. The album is brimming with love tunes such as "I'm Just After You" and "I Keep My Heart for You." Roßelly's significant other appreciates these tracks, adding, "She's one of the first to listen to the tunes, so I'm naturally thrilled when she enjoys them." And how does he handle the attention from female fans? "It makes me happy when people appreciate me and my music. Then I know I'm on the right track."

In "Guys Do It Too," Roßelly sings about male habits and stereotypes. "There are a few stereotypes that might apply to me as well," he admits. "I also enjoy cruising around in a classy car, but that's not necessarily a bad thing, even if it does uphold a stereotype."

"DSDS" is a Passion Project

Roßelly describes his musical journey since his "DSDS" triumph four years ago as "thrilling, exciting, and emotional," and he's had "only positive experiences" with the show so far. He raves, "I'd join again instantly, it was a once-in-a-lifetime experience!" He's thrilled that his former colleague Beatrice Egli (36) is returning to "DSDS" this year, commenting, "It's fantastic to return home." He could envision the same for himself: "Yes, I could envision returning home too. 'DSDS' was my first professional musical venture, and everything I've learned through it remains buried in my heart."

Despite his fame, Roßelly hasn't forgotten his roots as a member of a circus family, which surprisingly aids him: "Growing up within a circus has genuinely helped me in show business. I'm already comfortable with the spotlight and the anticipation before the curtain goes up." After "DSDS," he released his debut album "Heart's Desire," followed by "Best Moments" and "Dream," two of which reached number two on the German charts. He's now a renowned name in the Schlagern world and a frequent guest, such as on "Die Giovanni Zarrella Show - Die große Sommerparty" this Saturday (August 24, 2024, 8:15 PM, ZDF). He recognizes why some veteran colleagues criticize the evolutions in the Schlagern business and long for the good old days: "I understand that criticism, because I'd also like to have experienced a time when it was more about music. Maybe that's why I get along so well with the older colleagues."

Nevertheless, Roßelly is presently focused on his music, explaining that he's not currently hosting anything. "Music is my top priority right now, so I'm not hosting anything at the moment. I'm entirely devoted to the new album, which is a labor of love. I wouldn't dismiss hosting again in the future, though."
