Former "Riverdale" actress Vanessa Morgan (32) has provided a joyful surprise: She is expecting a baby with her boyfriend James Karnik (25). The baby is expected to arrive soon.

Due in July?

On July 6, Morgan shared the happy news in an Instagram post, accompanied by several photos of her baby bump with her partner. The Canadian professional basketball player and the actress are dressed casually in the photos, with Morgan wearing jeans and a white sweater on many of them. Both are holding their baby bump, which is visible on some of the candid shots. "I'm so in love with this man, our family of four is coming this month," Morgan revealed, indicating that the pregnancy is quite advanced. "Surprise! Thank you, God."

Several of her former "Riverdale" co-stars commented on the post. Lili Reinhart (27) wrote, "Sweet angel." Camila Mendes (30) sent a heart emoji.

She already has a son

This is Morgan and Karnik's first child together. The Canadian actress is already a mother to a son, River (3), from her marriage to Michael Kopech (28). They married in 2020, but separated five months later during her pregnancy. She has been in a relationship with James Karnik since 2022.

Vanessa Morgan is best known for her role as Amanda in the Canadian sitcom "Teen Buzz," for which she also sang the theme song, as well as for her role in "Riverdale," where she portrayed Toni Topaz from 2017 to 2023. This year, she appeared in the series "Wild Cards."
