Shannen Doherty lashes out at Alyssa Milano

The fantasy series "Charmed" is long gone, but it is still causing a stir, at least for actress Shannen Doherty. She is making serious accusations against her former co-actress Alyssa Milano. Apparently, this also led to her departure from the series.

In 1998, the US TV series "Charmed" launched a female dream trio - at least that was the initial impression in front of the TV sets. Holly Marie Combs, Alyssa Milano and Shannen Doherty slipped into the roles of the legendary Halliwell sisters. However, after three seasons, Doherty voluntarily left the show in 2001 and died. Combs and Milano continued as a duo for five more seasons before the series was canceled in 2006. Since then, there have been repeated rumors of arguments on set.

Now Doherty and Combs have spoken openly about that time in their new podcast"Let's Be Clear with Shannen Doherty", leaving little room for criticism of their colleague Alyssa Milano, who she blames for the misery. Milano drove everyone apart and tried to drive a wedge between Doherty and Combs, who are still very good friends to this day. "That was really interesting. She tried to pull you away from me," Doherty said.

Shannen Doherty and Alyssa Milano: "Competitive thinking"

At the time, Combs was battling a tumor in her uterus and had to undergo surgery, which is why filming was interrupted for a total of two weeks. However, Milano even actively tried to prevent Doherty from visiting Combs in hospital after the operation. "I waited an extra 24 hours to visit you. But I was told I wasn't allowed in," said Doherty. "Alyssa and her mother kept people from seeing you. And you didn't know it at the time," Doherty continued.

In general, she had always felt a "competitive spirit" in relation to Milano, a "lack of female support", which had also put a strain on her friendship with Combs. "There was so much drama on set and not enough passion for the work." Both Doherty and Milano have repeatedly reported tensions on set in recent years. Milano once said in an interview with "Entertainment Tonight" that there were times that were hard. She and Doherty are "two very different people".

Despite the public feud between Shannen Doherty and Alyssa Milano, Doherty still found time to enjoy her favorite forms of entertainment, often tuning into TV shows for relaxation. In fact, Shannen mentioned in her podcast that one of her favorite pastimes during the time of "Charmed" was watching TV series to unwind from the drama on set.
