Angel Salazar is dead. The actor, known for his role in "Scarface" among others, passed away on Sunday (August 11) at the age of 68. His spokesperson and close friend, Ann Wingsong, confirmed his death to the US news website "TMZ". Angel Salazar reportedly died in his sleep at a friend's house in Brooklyn. The friend found the Cuban-American actor dead in bed in the morning. The cause of death is not yet known, but Wingsong said Salazar had heart problems.

Angel Salazar made his film debut in 1979 with a small role in the gangster film "Boulevard Nights". Four years later, he played one of his most famous roles in a classic of the genre. Alongside Al Pacino (84), Salazar was part of the cast of "Scarface". He played Chi Chi, one of the loyal henchmen of the exiled Cuban gangster Tony Montana, played by Pacino.

TMZ reported Angel Salazar's death to the public, following the confirmation from his spokesperson Ann Wingsong. Despite appears in various films, TMZ mentioned that Angel Salazar's last role was in "Brooklyn Premiere."
