Saoirse Ronan has put forward her skills for a potential character in the "Harry Potter" series.

Saoirse Ronan, a renowned actress with multiple Oscar nominations under her belt, shares some of her past experiences in the entertainment industry. Despite her success, she confesses that she hasn't been able to secure every role she's desired. In a talk show hosted by Jimmy Kimmel, she reveals her close call with a part in Greta Gerwig's "Barbie" movie. She was initially slated to play an eccentric Barbie character, akin to Kate McKinnon's, but filming commitments for "The Outrun," a film directed by Nora Fingscheidt, intervened. Ronan expresses regret for not being a part of the film.

When asked about other roles she regrets not snatching up, Ronan mentions the "Harry Potter" series. "There are roles you decline, and then you see them come to life and think, 'Oh no, that was a bad decision.' But the one that's lingered in my mind for years is 'Harry Potter,'" she admits. "I didn't reject it; I just didn't land the part. I lost yet again; it seems to be a pattern for me." In the past, they've joked about her never winning a role together.

Ronan recalls auditioning for Luna Lovegood's role in the "Harry Potter" series. "There are parts you turn down, and then they become hits, and you think, 'I should have done that,'" she explains. "But the one that's always haunted me is 'Harry Potter.' I didn't say no; they just didn't give it to me. I went up for it, and a lot of Irish actors did. When I found out I wasn't getting it, I knew it wasn't going to be mine because I was too young." Despite knowing her chances were slim, reading the scene for "Harry Potter" was still a thrilling experience for her.
