Ryan Reynolds disclosed that Disney boss Bob Iger requested him to eliminate a specific line in the 'Deadpool & Wolverine' project.
At this week's Fast Company Innovation Festival in New York, as per Deadline, "Deadpool" actor, producer, and co-writer Ryan Reynolds shared that "there was only one line in the entire film that they asked me to remove" - with "they" referring to Disney, who owns Marvel Studios.
The crowd naturally wondered what this line could be, but Reynolds shook his head. "No, no, no! And they were right!" he declared.
Echoing Disney's CEO, he mimicked, "As soon as someone says something like, 'Ryan, Bob Iger here. Would love it if you'd take that one line out. It's really going to cause us some issues over here.'"
When he heard this, Reynolds explained, "Something in my brain just goes, 'Got to keep that line! It's precious!'"
However, upon reconsideration, he acknowledged, "Of course I can remove that line. Can I discuss Pinocchio instead? And the answer is yes!"
Unfortunately, we may never find out what the offending line was. But in his latest role, Deadpool, the first R-rated Marvel film under Disney ownership, Reynolds provided plenty of lewd jokes and dialogues.

The audience eagerly speculated about the controversial line, believing it could add an exciting layer to the 'Deadpool' entertainment experience. Despite Disney's request, Reynolds maintained his intention to keep the line, valuing its entertainment value.
