New faces in the Kremlin. Putin is now depending on the services of a different man for defense affairs.
Vladimir Putin, the Russian President, plans to replace Defense Minister Sergei Shoigu with Andrei Beloussov as soon as he starts his next term. This is according to the Russian news agency TASS. Shoigu has been in this position since 2012, making him one of the most long-serving ministers and also one of Putin's closest allies. Beloussov, who served as deputy prime minister previously, might be taking over the role.
