- Rumors circulating around a Glastonbury show
It appears that the revered Glastonbury Festival in the UK might include another musical sensation next year. As per "The Sun", there are negotiations happening between the event's organizers and Cher (78).
Could she join the ranks of Dolly Parton and Shania Twain?
This piece of information indicates that Cher is in the process of finalizing her participation with the festival in Somerset, which typically takes place towards the end of June annually. According to an insider, "Glastonbury" has been pursuing Cher for a long time, with the possibility of her performing in the "Legends" slot being discussed seriously. Shania Twain (59), who graced the stage this year, served as an inspiration in this regard.
All arrangements are still in the works, but Cher is reportedly planning to schedule a few shows in Great Britain next year. It is believed that the legendary Glastonbury Festival might just be one of them. It's worth noting that Cher is not keen on embarking on another extensive tour.
In 2019, Cher last performed in the UK. During her interview with Radio 2, she hinted at the possibility of a Glastonbury performance, stating, "I'd love to."
Upcoming Releases
Believe it or not, fans have a lot to look forward to from Cher. On September 20, her first greatest hits album in 20 years, titled "Forever", will hit the shelves. This compilation features 21 tracks spanning her entire 60-year career. Two months later, on November 19, her memoir, "Cher: The Memoir, Part One", will be released. A second part of her memoir, "Cher: The Memoir, Part Two", is slated for 2025.
If Cher's negotiations with Glastonbury Festival organizers successfully conclude, she could potentially perform in the "Legends" slot, following in the footsteps of Dolly Parton and Shania Twain. Given her upcoming Great Britain shows, it's plausible that Cher will add the revered Glastonbury Festival to her schedule, marking a return to the UK stage since 2019.
