Queen Camilla - Royal decorates Christmas tree with children
Queen Camilla (76) is sticking to a beloved tradition in 2023. At her London residence, Clarence House, she welcomed several seriously ill children on December 6 to decorate a Christmas tree with them, among other things. There was also a visit from Santa Claus with his reindeer, which the children were also allowed to feed.
Instead of an upscale menu, they were served sausages with mashed potatoes and a broccoli crown. The table was also festively decorated with all kinds of sweets, as a clip published by the palace on the Instagram account of King Charles III (75) and his wife Camilla shows. The military band Band and Bugles of The Rifles provided the background music, while Camilla also received a gift and a hug from one of the invited girls.
The British royals are celebrating Christmas a little differently this year
"Christmas is just around the corner," it says of the clips from the small party. The Queen has continued her tradition of welcoming children to Clarence House who, along with their families, are supported by the charities Helen & Douglas House and Roald Dahl's Marvellous Children's Charity.
This year, however, the royals' Christmas celebrations will probably be a little different than before. According to British media reports, Queen Camilla's children and grandchildren will be invited to the royal family's traditional Christmas gathering at Sandringham for the first time in 2023.

Queen Camilla's grandchildren are expected to join the royal family's Christmas celebrations at Sandringham for the first time in 2023, following a unique tradition where she decorates a Christmas tree with children from charities. This year's tree decoration event at Clarence House was filled with joy as Santa Claus and his reindeer visited, allowing the children to feed them. The children were treated to a meal of sausages, mashed potatoes, and a broccoli crown, with the table adorned with sweets as a festive touch. A clip of the festivities, featuring Camilla and her gift to one of the children, was shared by King Charles III on his Instagram account. Despite the differences, Christmas is still an exciting time for the British royals as they continue to welcome children supported by charities to their annual celebrations.
