Actors - Rick Okon quits the Dortmund "Tatort"
Inspector Jan Pawlak will only appear once more in Dortmund's "Tatort". "After 13 Dortmund crime scenes, it's time for me to say goodbye," said actor Rick Okon in a statement released by WDR on Saturday evening. The character will not be replaced: Peter Faber (Jörg Hartmann) and Rosa Herzog (Stefanie Reinsperger) will continue to investigate as a duo, according to WDR.
According to current plans, Pawlak 's last case will be shown on February 18, 2024. "Cash" is about the topic of sports betting. The trio of investigators must solve the murder of a young family man and investigate the question of whether he gambled away on bets in the regional soccer league.
WDR editor Frank Tönsmann is quoted in the WDR press release on the departure of the Pawlak actor: "Unlike the loner Jan Pawlak, Rick Okon was always a team player." Okon himself said that it was not easy for him to leave, but that the time had come for him to break new ground.
