Sunday thrillers - Rick Okon leaves the Dortmund "Tatort": These TV investigators quit(d) their jobs

In the end, only Jörg Hartmann remains. The actor is one of the original cast members of Dortmund's "Tatort". In 2012, he joined Anna Schudt, Aylin Tezel and Stefan Konarske as the new quartet of investigators. They have all already left the show. Now actor Rick Okon has also announced that he is quitting the role of investigator Jan Pawlak. Okon joined the team in 2018.

"After 13 Dortmund crime scenes, it's time for me to say goodbye. (...) It's not easy for me to leave, because 'Palwak' has grown very close to my heart and has been with me intensively for the last six years. But the time has now come for me to break new ground," said the 34-year-old. In February 2024, he can be seen for the last time in "Cash". There will be no replacement for Okon. The two other actors Jörg Hartmann (as Peter Faber) and Stefanie Reinsperger (as Rosa Herzog) will continue as a duo.

Rick Okon is not the only actor to bid farewell to the crime series. It was recently announced that Franziska Weisz is also quitting as a "Tatort" investigator alongside Wotan Wilke Möhring; Dagmar Manzel has also announced her departure from "Tatort" and Axel Milberg is hanging up his boots as Klaus Borowski in 2025. With Anna Schudt and Meret Becker, the "Tatorte" from Dortmund and Berlin already lost two top-class actresses last year, and the same applies to"Polizeiruf 110": there is always a bit of wastage.
