Katy Karrenbauer: A New Perspective on into content - Returning to the spotlight following a stroke
Actress Katy Karrenbauer (61) stepped out on the red carpet just about two weeks after undergoing a medical procedure in Berlin. The 61-year-old had revealed earlier in June that this surgery was essential because of a minor stroke.
Karrenbauer's Positive Outlook
It appears the 61-year-old is on the road to recovery. Speaking to RTL about how she's coping with her diagnosis, Karrenbauer said, "I always look at things positively, without a shadow of a doubt, nothing ever gets you anywhere in life." She further added, "As the neurologist said recently, 'Do you know what? Life is a gamble.' So, keeping a good outlook should be the way to go."
At her Berlin event, Karrenbauer, known for her role as Christine "Walter" in the TV show "Prison Stories - Women's Prison," chose a monochrome ensemble made up of a leather jacket, boots, straight pants, and a dark top. Her hair was drawn back into a ponytail. A sizable bandage on the actress's neck was quite visible.
"I'll Be Completely Back to Health"
The bandage was just as noticeable in an Instagram post from June 1st, in which Karrenbauer shared her experience of undergoing surgery. In the same post, she disclosed that she had experienced a minor stroke. "Owing to early diagnosis and swift action, I received the treatment promptly," she shared. "Hence, I decided to share this news since otherwise, I would've kept it private, fearing it may impact my profession," she added. The actress concluded her post stating, "I'll be back to 100% health, and that's fantastic!"
