- Renowned Disc Jockey Calls Off All Bookings
Worries about Felix Jaehn (29). The well-known DJ, known for his major breakthrough in 2014 with the remix "Cheerleader", has opened up in an emotional Instagram post. Jaehn has been "keeping quiet about not feeling great inside" for a while. It wasn't until he sought help from a professional that he realized the "extent of the discomfort". Therefore, the DJ is currently "too fragile to perform".
Cancellation of all performances by Felix Jaehn
"I'm upset to disappoint you, but I have to cancel all gigs temporarily," Jaehn continues. "It's time for some rest. It's time for recovery." Prior to this, Jaehn's "body and mind had been sending out red flags". The DJ was set to perform at the Heidepark Festival in Soltau on September 1st. Further performances in Frankfurt am Main and on the party island of Ibiza were scheduled later in the month.
Jaehn receives an outpouring of support on Instagram for his emotional post. "Health is the most important thing. Take your time," reads one comment, or: "Health should always come first". Another user comments: "Take your time and come back stronger."
Adoption of a new first name "Fee"
In April, Jaehn made news. The DJ identified as non-binary. "I'm going by the name Fee now because I've joined the non-binary community and prefer a gender-neutral name," Jaehn explained at the time on the YouTube show "Sweet and Spicy". The musician also mentioned that they prefer the non-binary pronoun "dey/den" in German, aligning with the English "they/them".
"I'm not going to attend the performances at Frankfurt am Main and Ibiza as planned, due to my current state," Jaehn mentions, prioritizing his health. "Despite the cancellation, I'm reassured by the supportive messages, reminding me that 'I'm not going to neglect my well-being' in this tough time."
