Celebrity couple Steff Jerkel (54) and Peggy Jerofke (48) are engaged once again. They've been together for over 20 years and share a six-year-old daughter. In 2022, the couple from Mallorca separated, but they reunited in April 2024.
Romance at the bar opening
On June 10, Jerkel made a move during the opening of his new bar "Sharky's Bar" in Cala Ratjada. In front of his girlfriend, he got down on one knee and proposed to her. The next day, Jerofke shared the exciting news on her Instagram. She posted two photos: one where she's caught in the moment of being proposed to, with Jerkel holding out the ring box, and another where she's thrilled and holding a giant engagement ring balloon. Danni Büchner (46) and Mola Adebisi (51) sent their well-wishes, with Mola writing, "That was also surprising."
The TV show "Goodbye Germany," which made Jerkel and Jerofke famous, celebrated the couple's happy news. On their Instagram page, they write, "Big news from Peggy and Steff! After years of being together and a shared daughter, separation happened in 2022. But a few months ago, they found each other again. Now Steff asked his Peggy the biggest question: 'Do you want to marry me?' And she, of course, said 'yes!'" A short video of the proposal is also shared. Past engagement on her 39th birthday
The couple has been engaged before. Jerofke shared this with the "Mallorca Zeitung," revealing, "We got engaged on my 39th birthday during a ski vacation. He asked me in the hotel room." Unfortunately, their first engagement didn't have a happy ending. Jerofke lost the engagement ring once and found it, but not the second time. The couple, who were always opening restaurants on Mallorca, never found the time for a wedding. Jerkel might have been planning a new proposal before the separation in 2022, as Jerofke told "Mallorca Zeitung."
After more than 24 years together, the love relationship came to an end at the end of 2022 when they announced they had lived apart. But the two still shared time together through their daughter Josephine and family vacations. In the VOX documentary "Volle Kraft voraus - The Cruise Documentary," it was revealed that the two restaurateurs were back together. It's unsure if they will finally get married after this second engagement.
