The exact cause of death remains a mystery, but investigators suspect she might have been blindsided by inclement weather, lost her way, and tumbled down.

The parents of the 19-year-old, who had flown in from Germany, conveyed their gratitude to the rescuers on Argentine television. Her dad, talking to the broadcaster TN, stated, "I'd like to thank everyone involved in the rescue operation."

This young lady had ventured to Argentina as a volunteer with the exchange organization Youth For Understanding (YFU). Their official statement on Instagram reads, "In this difficult time, our thoughts are with her family. We express our condolences to them and share their sorrow."
