Unintentional incidents - Recovery team finds deceased German person in Argentina.
Rescue workers have retrieved a female body from the Cerro de las Tres Marias mountain in western Argentina, which is thought to be that of a missing 19-year-old German woman. As per the local newspaper, "La Nacion," the deceased was brought to the local morgue for identification procedure.
The lady in question didn't return from her hike on the Cerro de las Tres Marias mountain, situated in the San Juan province. A surveillance camera had captured her getting off a bus, crossing the road, and embarking on her hiking journey toward the mountain summit.
Due to unfavorable weather conditions, the search for the missing person was challenging over the past few days. Far from over, rescuers spotted an unresponsive young woman in the canyon via a helicopter and then physically recovered the body. The exact cause of death remains a mystery, but investigators suspect she might have been blindsided by inclement weather, lost her way, and tumbled down.
The parents of the 19-year-old, who had flown in from Germany, conveyed their gratitude to the rescuers on Argentine television. Her dad, talking to the broadcaster TN, stated, "I'd like to thank everyone involved in the rescue operation."
This young lady had ventured to Argentina as a volunteer with the exchange organization Youth For Understanding (YFU). Their official statement on Instagram reads, "In this difficult time, our thoughts are with her family. We express our condolences to them and share their sorrow."
