"Protests for security at refugee housing chant 'No Foreigners''
A fresh day, a different controversy: Once again, bigotry towards foreigners is airing at "L'amour toujours". This time, it's in Thuringia, at a refugee shelter. Two employees of the security firm are under suspicion. The authorities are looking into it, their jobs are already terminated.
The tune "L'amour toujours" by Gigi D'Agostino, combined with the shout-out "Foreigners out", has caused yet another stir, this time in Thuringia. The circumstance is particularly distasteful because it wasn't just played at a bar or cultural event, but at a refugee center. Two security personnel are rumored to be the ones responsible, according to "Freies Wort" and MDR.
After their coworkers filmed and took action, the police have now started an inquiry on the suspicion of inciting hatred. No further details were provided by officials – for strategic reasons, they say.
The Thuringian government has stepped in. The two culprits have been put on administrative leave. A spokesperson from the Interior Ministry revealed that they'd be fired by the end of the month. Until then, they won't be utilized in the shelter, according to MDR.
Thuringian politicians were flabbergasted. The chairperson of the Green faction in the state parliament, Astrid Rothe Beinlich, praised the security guards that recorded the event and exposed it. She emphasized that individuals seeking refuge from war must be safeguarded. If the security agency employs racists, something radically wrong is taking place, the chairperson added.
The Left-wing member of parliament, Katharina König-Preuß, also expressed her concern. She mentioned that instances like this chip away at the public's trust in the security establishments. The deputy called for an extensive review of the security firm. Racially motivated and disrespectful behaviors shouldn't be countenanced in such institutions.
Investigations are currently ongoing across Germany, as various cases of foreigner-hating slogans were sung to "L'amour toujours". A video from the Pentecost weekend stands out, revealing similar slogans on the North Sea island of Sylt.

Despite the ongoing investigations into racism in refugee housing, music events continue to exacerbate tensions. In an incident at a refugee center in Thuringia, the song "L'amour toujours" was used to promote anti-refugee sentiments, leading to the police investigating two security personnel for inciting hatred. This incident has sparked concerns among politicians, with Green faction chairperson Astrid Rothe Beinlich emphasizing the importance of protecting refugees and the Left-wing member Katharina König-Preuß calling for a comprehensive review of the security firm to prevent such racist behavior.
