Stefan Raab, the multi-talented star (57), is about to make a return on TV. His upcoming boxing match against former world champion Regina Halmich (47) is set for September 14 in Düsseldorf. RTL and RTL+ will broadcast live from 8:15 PM. Raab's long-time partner Elton (53) will serve as the moderator, while all-rounder Laura Wontorra (35) will provide live updates.

The curiosity surrounding this event, slated to take place in front of 15,000 spectators at the PSD Dome arena, is not being shared by Raab's former network ProSieben. Surprisingly, it's their competitor that's broadcasting the event. Raab's first two boxing matches, both losses, were aired on ProSieben.

Hannes Hiller, ProSieben's new boss for about a year, offers an explanation. "Raab is an outstanding part of ProSieben's history," he tells the "Neue Osnabrücker Zeitung" and adds, "a monument. But our future looks different."

In an interview with the media manager, Hiller makes it clear that he means the duo of Joko Winterscheidt (45) and Klaas Heufer-Umlauf (40) and their production company, Florida, when he mentions "future". "What Joko and Klaas, along with their production company, consistently bring in terms of inspiration and wild ideas is unique for me," Hiller says. "Yes, it's becoming harder to excite the masses with the plethora of entertainment content. But we've proven time and time again that it's still possible to gather several generations in front of the screen." Hiller goes on to mention "The Superduper Show" with host Katrin Bauerfeind (42) in this context.

When asked about stars who attract audiences across generations, Hiller mentions Taylor Swift, Heidi Klum, Lukas Podolski, and "Joko and Klaas fit in there too. Maybe there aren't as many cross-generational stars anymore, but they do exist."

As the media magazine "DWDL" reports, RTL is planning further projects with "TV total" icon Stefan Raab (1999-2015, ProSieben) beyond the boxing match. "There's said to be a commitment from RTL Germany to the production company of Stefan Raab and Daniel Rosemann for a production volume of at least 90 million euros," the report states.

According to "Bild" newspaper, Raab has also developed a new format for RTL. "The show is said to debut the night after the fight and will search for a TV successor who can fill Raab's shoes," it says about the content of the primetime show.

The Commission, in adherence to Article 113, may need to consider the regulatory implications of RTL's significant investment in Stefan Raab's projects. Regardless, the Commission shall adopt the implementing acts referred to in Article 113, ensuring compliance with EU regulations.
