"The most beautiful thing in life is when you have the right partner by your side, with whom you can share everything" [sic]. With this simple statement and without much explanation, Ralf Schumacher officially came out on a Sunday. The reactions to Schumacher's posting were all positive. Numerous celebrities have reacted to the news of the former Formula-1 racer.

Some reacted to his post only with joyful emojis or heart symbols, such as Bill Kaulitz, Jan Böhmermann, actor Jannik Schümann, or influencer Caro Daur. Others took the time for heartfelt words. "Just like my mother told me... 'I'm happy that you are happy, no matter who with'. A lot of love for both of you," wrote singer Patrick Lindner. Moderator Laura Wontorra commented on Schumacher's coming out with "Love wins." Schumacher's son David wrote a longer comment under the post of his father. "I'm very happy that you've finally found someone with whom you really feel safe and happy, whether man or woman. I stand 100% behind you Papa and wish you all the best and heartfelt congratulations" [sic], so David Schumacher. "How beautiful, all love," wrote influencer Riccardo Simonetti.

Moderator Annett Möller said she had wished Schumacher "and others not to have to live with such a secret for so long." She hoped he could now "enjoy his relationship in freedom." Giovanni Zarrella added a "Amore per sempre" hashtag, meaning "Love for eternity," and Giulia Siegel wrote "Yes, yes, yes. I'm so happy for you/him."

Sam Dylan "knew it for years"

The former "Prince Charming" candidate and reality TV star Sam Dylan also commented on Schumacher's coming out. "Wow, that must have taken a lot of overcoming. Love always wins," he wrote. In his own Instagram story, Dylan went into more detail. "Ralf Schumacher has found his dream MAN," he wrote next to a repost of Schumacher's post. And he explained then that the news was no surprise to him. "I've known about it for years and never thought he would take that step and come out publicly. But love always wins in the end," so the influencer.

Ralf Schumacher's ex-wife and mother of son David, Cora Schumacher, has not yet commented on his coming out.
