The actor couple Johanna Christine Gehlen (54, "North by Northwest") and Sebastian Bezzel (53, Eberhofer-Crimes) like to work together. "People often wonder why we're still together, despite working so much together", Gehlen said during a press conference in Hamburg. She added with a smile: "I sometimes think we're still together because we have so much fun together." The next project of the two, who have been married since 2009 and have two children: the comedy series "Die StiNos", to be seen from autumn on Sat.1.

In it, both of them - as the title suggests - embody a rather ordinary couple in middle age, who live a rather mediocre life. "They don't really live - they only react to the outside world. That's really sad", explained Gehlen during the presentation of the ProSevenSat.1 Media program 2024/25 in the Hanseatic city. Nevertheless, it's quite funny, as they wouldn't have accounted for their family, colleagues, and neighbors in their calculations.

Asked how lively the private couple Bezzel/Gehlen would rate on a scale of one to nine, she answered: "seven". Some might even only give them "two". It all depends on the perspective.

Previously, the two actors were seen together in the six-part series "Da is ja nix" from around 2020 as a Bavarian swindler couple in the north of the republic. Bezzel grew up in Bavaria.

  1. Gehlen and Bezzel, the German acting duo renowned for their roles in "North by Northwest" and "Eberhofer-Crimes" on Northwest Television, will collaborate once again in the upcoming comedy series "Die StiNos," airing on Sat.1 from autumn.
  2. During a media event in Hamburg, Gehlen revealed that her collaboration with Bezzel on various projects, including "Die StiNos," has not diminished their marriage but, quite the contrary, strengthened it due to the shared joy they derive from their work together.
  3. In the forthcoming comedy series, Bezzel and Gehlen will portray an ordinary middle-aged couple living an unremarkable life, a role that resonates with their personal perspective on their own synergy - may people perceive their relationship as a "seven" on a scale of one to nine, or as "two," depending on their individual vantage points.
  4. Prior to their upcoming collaboration in "Die StiNos," the German artist duo was lauded for their roles in the six-part series "Da is ja nix," aired approximately two years back, in which they portrayed a duplicitous couple residing in Bavaria, Bezzel's home region.
  5. The media landscape in Germany will continue to benefit from the creative energy and collaboration between Gehlen and Bezzel, who continue to captivate audiences with their on-screen and off-screen chemistry, inspiring curiosity and delight among art and media enthusiasts alike.
