Pop star Katy Perry unveils fresh tunes for fans.
Katy Perry, popular American pop artist known for hits like "Teenage Dream" and "Dark Horse", is stepping back into her music career after a break. She's announced a new single titled "Woman's World" set to drop on July 11, alongside a music video scheduled for July 12.
In a revealing photo on Instagram, Perry dons a tight white bikini top paired with black armor-style leggings, showcasing her wild untamed hair and plenty of bare skin. She's also shared a sneak peek of the song in a short video.
Her latest album "Smile" was released in August 2020, shortly after the birth of her daughter Daisy Dove Bloom, with father being the actor Orlando Bloom. Her past hits such as "California Gurls" and "Firework" skyrocketed her to Pop-Superstar status. Since her last studio album, she's collaborated with the Swedish DJ Alesso and the American singer Thomas Rhett. Details about her new album's title and release date remain unknown at this time.
From 2018, Perry has served as a judge on the US talent show "American Idol", which is similar to the German show "Got Talent". She announced her departure as a judge in February with tears, having been part of the American casting show's jury for approximately six years. She made her departure official on "Jimmy Kimmel Live!" earlier this year, stating "I want to travel the world and maybe release new music."
Perry joined "American Idol" alongside Lionel Richie and Country singer Luke Bryan in 2018. As of 2025, ABC has yet to reveal who will replace the vacated jury seats.
