Education study - Poor Pisa report: Germany scores worse than ever before

German pupils have performed worse than ever before in the Pisa study on international comparisons of learning performance. The OECD sees the consequences of the school closures during the coronavirus pandemic as one reason for this - however, in Germany, as in many other countries, there is a trend towards poorer school performance that began even before the coronavirus crisis.
