Crime with violence in Döbeln - Police arrest suspect following the demise of nine-year-old Valeriia.
Chief of Police Carsten Kaempf in Chemnitz declared that those responsible for the murder of young Valeria should be held responsible to the girl and her loved ones. Now, it would seem the authorities have kept their word. On a Friday morning around 10:15 a.m., at a Prague restaurant, a suspect was apprehended by the Czech Police. The Chemnitz Police Department announced the news.
The valued suspect in the Valeria case will be taken to Germany
As per reports, the suspect is a 36-year-old individual. The "Bild" paper had mentioned the day before that investigators were concentrating their efforts on Valeria's former boyfriend. His phone was reportedly linked to a cell tower in Dobeln at the time of the potential crime, and he also appeared on surveillance camera footage. The Chemnitz Prosecutor's Office confirmed this to stern's inquiry but didn't publicly announce it. But, they did disclose that the investigation centred on Valeria's "social circle," which involves pals, acquaintances, and family.
The Chemnitz District Court ordered the arrest warrant for the suspect – for the presumption of manslaughter. The man is now in the hands of the Czech Police. "He is anticipated to be brought to Germany for the execution of the criminal proceedings as soon as possible," stated the Chemnitz Police's announcement.
The nine-year-old girl disappeared while en route to school on June 3rd but never arrived and was reported missing. On the previous Tuesday, police officers found Valeria's body in a forested area close to her house while conducting a search operation. The crime scene was in Dobeln and sparked immense shock and disbelief far beyond (also read: "Untold facts about the Valeria case").
