Biyon Kattilathu - Pocher and the online guru: What is said to have happened when the two met
Oliver Pocher has found a new victim. The comedian has been regularly making fun of motivational coach Biyon Kattilathu for several weeks now. The reason for this is Pocher's apparently hurt feelings following his separation from his still-wife Amira Pocher, whom Kattilathu met on a flight at the beginning of the year.
Oliver Pocher meets Biyon Kattilathu
Pocher repeatedly uploads videos in which he takes the self-proclaimed coach's tips and reduces them to absurdity. On Friday evening, he even set out to talk to a few of the guru's fans. Dressed up as his comedy character "The Real Dalai Karma", he spoke to visitors to Kattilathu's event in Euskirchen. Pocher took selfies with the waiting spectators, cracked a few jokes and was eventually stopped by the coach's security staff. In the end, he even asked Pocher if he wanted to talk to Kattilathu backstage. However, cameras were not allowed there.
What the two talked about will probably remain between them - for the time being. However, as the Bild newspaper claims to have learned, Pocher was not entirely convinced by Kattilathu's statements. Nevertheless, he wants to proceed peacefully for the time being. He wants to publish a video after the meeting, but: "Then we'll talk about it again and then the topic will be over and then we'll just do funny things and have a good time," Pocher told Bild.
New comedy program
However, it is unlikely that the comedian will spare Kattilathu completely in future. After all, the coach has become an essential part of Pocher's comedy program - and a very successful one at that. Pocher's character "The Real Dalai Karma" has already amassed almost 130,000 followers on Instagram. His videos are widely commented on and praised, but also criticized. Pocher shouldn't mind the criticism - after all, it's also part of the all-important attention.
From the beginning of January, Pocher will be on a major comedy tour. In his program "Der Liebeskasper", he will undoubtedly also address his marriage break-up- most likely he will then also take on Kattilathu again. The contemplative Christmas break should therefore only be temporary.
