Pink takes on haters
Pink has now been in the business for over 20 years - and has been part of the international pop elite throughout this time. But of course, like everyone else, she has also aged during this time. She doesn't let a derogatory comment about this on social media go unchallenged.
"Pink has grown old": Singer Pink promptly responded to this sentence from a user of the platform X. The 44-year-old made it clear that she would not be insulted because of her age. On the contrary, she is "grateful" to be getting older.
A few days ago, the singer announced that she would be extending her "Summer Carnival" tour and performing 17 more shows across North America next summer and fall. The fact that an X user commented disparagingly on the mother-of-two's appearance after the tour news was not something she was prepared to let stand. "Yes, although I don't feel old and I still get to wear leotards to work, getting older is actually the first thing I thank myself for every day," Pink replied on X, referring to the skin-tight outfits in which she swings through the air during acrobatic interludes in her shows.
The singer continued: "What a blessing to have years. To be so strong, to be able to still piss off complete strangers just by existing."
"Little purple troll"
It's not the first time the "Trustfall" singer has taken social media haters to task. In 2018, someone tweeted that Pink looked "so old she should be called Purple instead". At the time, the singer responded by saying: "You must be from LA. Well, there are still a few people in the world who choose to age naturally." She also added that she had earned "every damn minute" of her years. "But what do you look like?" she asked, "Because I've never heard of you until you put my name in your mouth. I'm going to call you little purple troll."
She then made it clear in another message, "I'm of the opinion that getting old is a blessing - if your face has wrinkles around your eyes and mouth, it means you've laughed a lot." She prays to look older in ten years, "because that means I'm alive," Pink said.

Pink's response to the user on X, stating, "I'm grateful for getting older and still getting to wear leotards to work," showcases her love for music and pop performances, despite facing age-related criticism. Furthermore, Pink's performance in her "Summer Carnival" tour highlights her continued success and passion for entertainment, as she extends the tour with 17 extra shows.
