The Eras Tour) - Piano problem at Taylor-Swift-Concert in Milan

Unexpected technical issue had US-megastar Taylor Swift during a concert in Milan for a short while: While the 34-year-old was preparing to play her song "Getaway Car" at the piano during the second night of her "Eras Tour" in the northern Italian metropolis on Sunday, the instrument didn't work properly. As videos on social media showed, Swift and a crew member worked on the lid of the piano covered in flowers under applause from her fans.

According to media reports, Swift initially tuned the song but stopped after a line when a chord rang falsely. "We finally broke it!", Swift joked as she looked under the lid. After some moments, the piano could be repaired. Swift closed the lid and called out to her fans: "Oh, I made it!" Under applause, she then sang the song with piano accompaniment.

Taylor Swift is currently touring Europe with her record-breaking "Eras Tour". German fans of the megastar - called "Swifties" - can look forward to several concerts in Germany. Starting from Wednesday, Swift will give three concerts in Gelsenkirchen (17th to 19th July) and then continues to Hamburg (23rd and 24th July) and Munich (27th and 28th July). In particular, Swift's fans in Gelsenkirchen are already in a Swift fever: At the beginning of the month, the city began to install signposts with the inscription "Swiftkirchen".

Despite the technical hiccup, Taylor Swift managed to deliver an engaging performance on Sunday during her "Eras Tour" in Milan, Italy. The incident with the piano was momentarily disruptive but didn't deter Swift's devoted fans from showing their support. Taylor Swift's upcoming concerts in Germany, including three shows in Gelsenkirchen, are highly anticipated by her German fans, who have nicknamed themselves "Swifties." In fact, Gelsenkirchen has even named certain locations as "Swiftkirchen" in honor of the beloved singer.
