Bessie Carter and Sam Phillips - Photos confirm love of the "Bridgerton" stars
A whiff of "Bridgerton" romance seems to have transferred to the actors of Netflix's hit series. In the third season of the show, Sam Phillips (40) portrays Lord Debling, who has cast an eye on Penelope Featherington (Nicola Coughlan, 37). However, in real life, the actor appears to have much more interest in their series-sister Prudence, played by Bessie Carter (30).
Pictures, which include those obtained by "E! News", show the cast members on a morning walk in Sussex, England. The actress affectionately kisses his shoulder and cheek.
Shared Red Carpet Appearances
There have been signs that they are a couple for some time. They have appeared together on the red carpet no less than four times. Their debut was in March 2023 at the premiere of "A Little Life" in London's West End. In May, they attended another theater event together. In November, they even posed together with Carter's mother Imelda Staunton (68), as they accompanied Jim Carter (75) to the premiere of the film "Wonka".
Just a few weeks later, Bessie Carter and Sam Phillips presented themselves to the photographers together again at the wrap party for the sixth season of "The Crown". This Netflix production is almost a family affair: In the series about the British royals, Staunton played Queen Elizabeth II. (1926-2022) in the last two seasons, while Phillips slipped into the role of a soldier in seasons three and four.
