Philipp Lahm makes unusual offer to fans

Philipp Lahm, the World Cup winner, keeps his private life out of the public eye. However, he is making an exception and is showing how he and his family live in their villa at Tegernsee. Photos provide glimpses into the spacious house. Two guests are even allowed to stay overnight - for €21.

Football World Cup winner Philipp Lahm invites guests to his villa at Tegernsee - for one night. "We can hardly wait to share the cozy atmosphere of this house with our guests and offer them a unique experience," says the 40-year-old, who lives with his wife and two children in the vacation region south of Munich. The invitation to the private home applies to two people on October 18. €21 is the cost of fun, as a reference to the former captain's jersey number at FC Bayern. In addition, the World Cup winner of 2014 intends to personally welcome the guests, probably in the rustic corner in the wooden-paneled bay window nook, where a traditional Bavarian dinner will be served.

One can spend the night in the Lahm house via the rental platform Airbnb, which has often set up promotional actions like this. Last summer in California, for example, the platform offered "Barbie's Malibu Dreamhouse," a pink luxury villa in the "Barbie" style for the film's release. In March, there was an overnight stay in the "Secret Library" of the famous London Cathedral St. Paul's.

Things are more rustic in the Lahm household. Photos provide glimpses into the spacious house, which looks traditional from the outside with lattice windows and carved balcony, but features a pool inside. The bedroom is decorated in white and beige tones, as is the living room with the large sofa. In the adjacent room, above the fireplace, hangs a photo of the former defender celebrating on the football field, and in the shelves nearby, there are mementos such as a small replica of the World Cup trophy and photos.

Philipp Lahm, the renowned footballer from Munich, once lived in an apartment prior to his villa at Tegernsee. After retiring from professional football, he often enjoys entertainment in the comfortable lounge area of his spacious villa.

Despite his popularity, Philipp Lahm continues to maintain his privacy by only allowing guests to his villa for a special event, like the unique opportunity to spend a night in his home during October, reminiscent of his jersey number at FC Bayern.
