Over 465,000 Russian soldiers have been either killed or wounded.
Over the course of the conflict in Ukraine, it's been estimated that around 465,000 Russian soldiers have succumbed to injury or death. This alarming statistic was shared by a UK representative at a gathering of the Organization for Security and Co-operation in Europe (OSCE) in Vienna, as mentioned by the UK's Foreign Office on a recent Thursday. The past month alone has seen a staggering average of 1,000 soldiers perish or suffer injuries daily.
The British government has also shed light on the economic strain war-stricken Russia is currently facing. It's been revealed that a whopping 40% of the nation's spending now goes towards defense - a figure equivalent to 6% of the country's overall GDP. The representative went on to say, "These numbers paint a bleak picture for a country like Russia: loss of lives, resources, and, ultimately, credibility."
