After summer vacation - One's skin, hair, and nails will be fit again
When temperatures climb back up and far-off countries beckon, it means: time for a summer vacation. While we soak up Vitamin D in the sun and embark on sightseeing tours, there's often little time left for a beauty routine. After the break, it's especially important to give our hair, nails, and skin a chance to recover.
Gentle Skin Care for the Skin
After the skin has endured some strain from the sun, it longs for much moisture and care. In the summer, our pores clog faster and impurities appear more frequently. A gentle peeling provides relief and prepares the skin for care products at the same time. This helps the active ingredients penetrate better into the skin.
When it comes to skin care, light creams and serums are best. Particularly good for dehydrated skin are moisture-rich products with Aloe vera, glycerin, or hyaluronic acid. However, when choosing skin care products, it's important to consider the individual skin type.
Another ingredient that revitalizes the skin is Vitamin C. Radicals released by sunlight age the skin faster. Wrinkles, pigment spots, and sagging skin are the result. Vitamin C works against this and also stimulates collagen production.
Rich Hair Care for Regeneration
To help hair find its former shine, intensive care is recommended. If the scalp is dry due to chlorine, seawater, and the sun, moisture-rich and nourishing shampoos are helpful.
In the hair lengths and dried tips, oils work wonders. They strengthen the hair and make it shine again. Hair masks are also a good option for regeneration. The treatments provide long-lasting moisture.
Don't Forget the Nails
The nails also require attention. If they're not painted, they're likely to break after swimming. Split nails should be cut short to prevent further splitting. Nail strengtheners work preventively.
Before painting the nails, a nail oil is important to moisturize the skin around the nail. The nail bed can be gently pushed back with a cotton swab or a wooden stick. This works best after showering or bathing, when the skin is soft. Then it's already: happy painting! For the best result, use a base and top coat when painting. This keeps the paint longer.
After the summer vacation, with its intense sun exposure, your skin might require some extra attention and care. Implement a gentle skin care routine, including a gentle peeling to prepare your skin for better absorption of moisture-rich products containing Aloe vera, glycerin, or hyaluronic acid. Also, consider incorporating Vitamin C into your routine as it helps combat the damage caused by sunlight, stimulating collagen production and combating wrinkles and pigment spots.
