On the second day of Israeli military operations, five Palestinians lose their lives in the West Bank region.

On a Wednesday, apparently, the military allegedly eliminated nine insurgents during operations aimed at curbing extremism in Tulkarem, Jenin, Tubas, and refugees camps situated in these regions. These places are notorious for their high militant group activity against Israel.

This extensive action was instigated due to a "substantial surge in terrorist incidents last year," as per the Israeli military. This surge included approximately "150 armed assaults and explosions" originating from the aforementioned locations.

Ever since the conflict between Israel and the radical Islamic Palestinian organization Hamas in the Gaza Strip commenced in 2008, the scenario in the West Bank, under Israel's control since 1967, has spiraled downward.

The conflict in the Gaza Strip has negatively impacted the situation in the West Bank, which Israel has controlled since 1967. Terrorist activities have intensified, leading to operations in refugee camps and areas like Tulkarem, Jenin, Tubas, and the West Bank itself.
