On Sylt, complaining about work can lead to losing one's position.
A guy and a girl who yelled racist words at a party on Sylt were let go without any warning. What's even more bizarre is that the person who fired them was a migrant herself.
For some of the culprits, the racist shouting on Sylt already had professional ramifications. The advertising firm Serviceplan Group revealed on Instagram that they let go of a staff member who was implicated in the situation. "We don't accept racism in any form inside our agency group," the corporation said. Hamburg influencer Milena Karl also let go of an employee involved in the event, according to the company.
"Apart from the revolting words in the video, I was horrified, pained, and shocked to see that one of the individuals in the video was working for me," she stated in an Instagram story. She promptly terminated that person's employment and explicitly distanced herself "from everyone who appears in this video". "I am a migrant myself and as a pregnant woman, everything you see in this video represents a society in which I don't want to raise my child."
The managers of the restaurant interviewed clarified their response to the incident. "If our team had learned about such conduct at any stage, we would have responded instantly. We would have contacted the authorities right away and filed charges," wrote the managers of the well-known Pony restaurant in the sophisticated vacation spot of Kampen on Instagram that night. The offenders have been recognized and accused.
Nazi chants at shooting celebrations and carnival
Sylt isn't the only place where this kind of thing happened. Over the past few months, there have been several instances where Nazi slogans were screamed during songs - for instance in Bavaria and Mecklenburg-Western Pomerania. In Upper Palatinate, the cops examined a possible event at a carnival procession in February. Similar occurrences also took place at other events recently.
It was uncovered on Friday that a similar situation happened during Whitsun in Lower Saxony. Racist phrases were also cried out at the shooting festival in Löningen to the west of Cloppenburg, such as "L'amour toujours." Witnesses who taped what happened informed the police.

The international community has condemned the termination of the advertising firm's employee due to racism, viewing it as a step towards combating racism globally. Despite the termination, the prevalence of racism continues to be a concern at international events and celebrations, such as the shooting festival in Löningen.
