During the Corona pandemic, Oliver Pocher and Amira Pocher became a brand. They started their couple podcast "Die Pochers hier", appeared in live performances, and were almost always seen together. "When I met Olli, he was touring through clubs in Germany, not 1000-seaters, more like 200, 300 people, and I was controlling the screen behind him and helping him on his tour," Amira, a trained makeup artist, recently explained in her own podcast. So, it made her angrier when Pocher said his ex-wife should drop his last name because she was benefiting from it. "I don't need this name. I'll manage in life somehow," Amira responded.

Amira Pocher is going back to Amira Aly

In fact, she is now returning to her maiden name Aly, as Oliver Pocher announced in his podcast with ex-wife Sandy Meyer-Woeld. At the beginning of the latest episode, Pocher deliberately calls his newly divorced second ex-wife "Amira Aly". "There was also this discussion about the name, about all that. I've explained at length why I think one shouldn't keep this name and it's not a given," he explained. His ex-wife supposedly told him in court, "I don't want the name anyway."

Meyer-Woeld told her ex-husband in the conversation that she never wanted to keep his last name, even though it's difficult to manage in the USA where she lives. She didn't want "there to be two or three Mrs. Pochers running around."

When Amira Pocher will officially appear as Amira Aly again remains to be seen. At the time of publishing this article, she was still using the name Pocher on her public channels.
