Oliver Pocher fails to fulfill his financial obligations towards child maintenance

Amira Aly triumphantly clinched the 100,000 euro prize on "Beat the Star," outperforming Vanessa Mai. Unlike several other celebrities who have shined on ProSieben's show, Amira decided against making charitable donations with her winnings. Instead, she aims to utilize the funds to construct a new home for herself and her two kids in Cologne. She spilled the beans about this decision to Bild newspaper.

She couldn't resist throwing a dig at her ex-husband, Oliver Pocher. "Surprisingly," she quipped, he never foots the bill for their children. Consequently, she'll need the money to finance the children's rooms in the new abode and "all the other expenses associated with single parenthood."

Oliver has not been fulfilling his child support obligations since their split a year ago, Amira admitted during her Bild interview. She waived her right to spousal support. Contrary to the gossip mill, Oliver didn't shell out a dime to Amira to drop her surname. Amira made her return to "Beat the Star" a few weeks after their divorce in late July 2024, using her maiden name, Aly.

Number crunching was never her strong suit

Oliver responded to Amira's Bild statement on Instagram. "Numbers weren't her forte," he quipped. He argues that Amira has made blunders in the past, such as figuring out when they ceased to be a couple and resumed dating, who had the children when, and how much each contributed during and after their relationship.

Oliver assured fans that he'd soon present his take on the situation during one of his performances. On another Instagram story, he promoted the next dates of his tour "The Love Jester" and teased a "financial recalculation."

He also couldn't resist taking a swipe at Amira's new beau, moderator Christian Düren. "As I recall," he wrote, "where was Christian?" ProSieben moderator Düren didn't grace the "Beat the Star" stage during Amira's appearance.

I'm not going to engage in his financial accusations anymore. Instead, I choose to focus on building a new home and providing for my children.

Despite Amira's claims of financial mismanagement, Oliver insists that he'll provide a comprehensive explanation during his upcoming performances.
