Discord - North Korea's missile drill served as a warning to South Korea.

North Korea has once again indicated its threats of nuclear weapon use against South Korea. On Thursday, leader Kim Jong Un watched a military exercise where several rockets were launched from launchers. These rockets were displayed as a gesture of power against South Korea, supposedly being reported in the media on Friday.

In addition, it was mentioned in the reports that a launch control system, which is a part of North Korea's "state management system for nuclear weapons," was employed. North Korea claims to possess rockets that can be fitted with tactical nuclear warheads and fired from multiple launchers to strike targets across South Korea.

This military drill was also meant to demonstrate North Korea's capacity to carry out a preemptive attack against South Korea in the face of any potential military threat from its adversaries.

North Korea views South Korea and the United States as its primary adversaries. On Thursday, South Korean forces detected North Korean rocket fire. It's estimated that at least 10 short-range rockets were discharged eastward into the ocean, according to reports.

On Monday, South Korea conducted an air force drill involving numerous jet fighters close to the border between North and South Korea, following North Korea's announcement of a satellite launch. The failed satellite launch was intended to send a military reconnaissance satellite into space.

The United States and South Korea charge North Korea of using technology connected to its ballistic missile program in their satelitte launches. Depending on the design of such rockets, they can also be loaded with an atomic warhead.

The tensions on the Korean Peninsula have escalated drastically in recent times. North Korea has intensified its rocket tests significantly. In response, South Korea and the United States have increased their military cooperation.
