Fresh arrival - Nina Chuba faces mounting anticipation ahead of her next release.
Nina Chuba, the artist behind "Wildberry Lillet," hit the number-one spot in the single charts two years ago. She also found great success with her debut album "Glas." Now, the 25-year-old Hamburg native is gearing up for her second album, but she wants to take her time with it.
"I don't have an exact release date yet. I have a rough timeline, but I don't want to commit to anything too soon because I don't want to put added pressure on myself," she said in an interview with the German Press Agency. "My album needs as much time as it needs. I want it to be the best it can be. If it takes longer, then so be it." That's why she plans to release individual songs first. "Hopefully, next year, the album will be released," she said.
Chuba admits she feels the pressure to perform well on her second album. "There was no pressure before. There was no one expecting anything from me," she says. "But now, it's different. You want to maintain your position somehow." She acknowledges that it won't be easy, but she remains committed to giving her best.
She also wants to focus more on her inner satisfaction rather than external metrics like album sales or streams. "I just want to be happy and content with what I create and be able to stand behind it 100%," she shared.
Nina Chuba's open-air tour of Germany starts on June 21 in Dresden. On August 25, she will perform at the Hamburg racecourse. She made her acting debut as a child in the ARD series "Die Pfefferköner." Her latest singles, "Nina" and "80qm," have recently been released. According to her, she's sold 1.7 million record carriers so far, her music videos have been viewed millions of times, and she has over 860,000 followers on TikTok.
