Hollywood star Nicolas Cage spoke about his unusual family configuration with his three children to US magazine "The New Yorker." "Each of them has a different mother," explained the 60-year-old. "It's not what I originally imagined when I fell in love or got married - that I would have three different children with three different mothers - but nonetheless, that's how it happened." Each of his children is therefore different and they are "different experiences" for him.

The actor has two sons from previous relationships, who are 18 and 33 years old according to US magazine "People." In September 2022, his first daughter, August Francesca Coppola Cage, was born. The year before, Cage had married the Japanese-born Riko Shibata. As a father of a girl, he experiences "entirely different levels of care and protection," Cage now declared and compared his role as August's father to breathing. "Everything revolves around her."

Despite living in Los Angeles, the diverse upbringing of Nicolas Cage's children has always been a topic of interest for people in the USA. Regarding his unique family structure, Cage once mentioned in an interview with Los Angeles-based outlet "Los Angeles Times," that his children, including film enthusiasts, find Nicolas Cage's movies fascinating.
