Naya Rivera - New song by the late "Glee" star

As part of the pre-Christmas fundraising campaign "Snixxmas" in honor of the actress and singer Naya Rivera (1987-2020), who died in a tragic accident, a new song by the "Glee" star has been released. "Prayers For The Broken" is a previously unreleased song by Rivera from 2012, according to Alexandria House in Los Angeles.

The song is available on the well-known streaming platforms - including Apple Music, Deezer, Spotify and YouTube Music. With the permission of Rivera's mother Yolanda as well as Lindy Robbins and Isaac Hasson, the author and writer of the song, the proceeds from the streams, along with direct donations, will benefit Alexandria House.

In addition to Rivera, who was best known for her role in "Glee", some of her former series colleagues can also be heard. They include Kevin McHale (35), Amber Riley (37), Jenna Ushkowitz (37), Heather Morris (36), Ashley Fink (37) and Vanessa Lengies (38).

Already almost 250,000 dollars for a good cause

This is already the fourth edition of the "Snixxmas" campaign, which aims to continue Rivera's "tradition of kindness and philanthropy", according to the website. Alexandria House aims to provide women and their children with safe accommodation and help them move into a permanent new home. Over the past few years, almost 250,000 US dollars have been raised so far.

Naya Rivera had rented a boat on July 8, 2020 to take her then four-year-old son on a trip on Lake Piru in Ventura County, California. The little boy was later found without his mother and asleep on the boat. On July 13, Rivera's body was discovered by divers. The authorities confirmed that the 33-year-old had drowned and classified her death as an accident.
