- New season of "DSDS" starts on September 18th
Germany's Got Talent ("DSDS") returns unusually early this time. The new episodes begin on September 18 (8:15 PM) every Wednesday and Saturday on RTL, as the Cologne-based private broadcaster announced.
Fans are usually accustomed to "DSDS" starting in January, but there have been exceptions. Even the second season in 2003 kicked off in September. The first and third seasons in 2002 and 2005 began in November.

The first episode will be available on the RTL+ streaming portal a week earlier. The next episodes will then be available on RTL+ before the linear broadcast on RTL. What's new: With the upcoming 21st season, the age limit has been abolished: Everyone aged 16 and above can participate. The oldest candidate is 92 years old. According to RTL, there were more than 10,000 applicants for this season, and nearly half were over 30 years old.
