"Beverly Hills - New harmony with her ex-husband

Jennie Garth (52) and Peter Facinelli (50) got divorced in 2012 after eleven years of marriage. After a time of tensions between the former couple, signs of friendship are now appearing, as the former "Beverly Hills, 90210" actress revealed in her podcast "I Choose Me". "People, we are officially friends now", Garth said and went on to gush about how well they have been getting along since their podcast episode on June 11. During that episode, the ex-couple spoke openly about the divorce. "He even unfollowed me on Instagram.", she added.

"Big news"

For the actress, a significant development: "I was blocked in his social networks for so long that it didn't matter to me years ago. But now I'm unblocked, people. That's big news."

Garth also spoke about how the former couple now spends more time together. This also includes their blended family, consisting of their three daughters Luca (27), Lola (21), and Fiona (17), as well as Facinelli's one-year-old son Jack, whom he had with actress Lily Anne Harrison (35). Her ex-husband has even lent them a cooler for the weekend and given them his guest room for a trial run. And the 52-year-old might be joining him for an important event soon: "He invited me to his son Jack's baptism. And this week, get ready - we're all going to be on a boat together with the whole family." She added jokingly, "Whether we push each other overboard will have to be seen."

He finds the blended family "incredible luck"

Garth and Facinelli married in 2001, five years after they met on the set of the TV movie "Blonde is the Revenge". Eleven years later, in March 2012, Facinelli filed for divorce three months after the separation of the couple. "It takes the ground from under your feet", the actress said in an interview with the US magazine "People" at the time. She had tried so hard to save her marriage. Back then, she was at a loss: "I have no idea what my future will look like, because before that, I had something to cling to."

The divorce brought some challenges, such as the joint custody, the division of childcare responsibilities, and getting the children accustomed to their new partners. In the two-part podcast in June, Facinelli tried to take a positive approach: "I don't see it as a burden that she has to carry for the rest of her life because of this divorce. I really see it as 'Wow, they had these step-parents who they met, who enriched their personality, through which they grew up.'" Not only Facinelli has entered into a new relationship since the divorce. Jennie Garth married actor Dave Abrams (43) in 2015.
