Joey Kelly and his family - New documentary series about their motorhome adventure
Joey Kelly (50) and his family on a great adventure in North and South America: from January 3, 2024, the docu-soap "Joey Kelly and Family - Roadtrip Panamericana" can be seen on RTLzwei. The Panamericana is the longest road in the world, spanning two continents, 15 countries and around 30,000 kilometers. In nine episodes, the new series accompanies the family of six on a daring journey in their motorhome, during which they face an adventurous challenge.
Joey Kelly and his family go traveling without money
Together with wife Tanja (50), children Luke (23), Leon (19), Lillian (16) and Lisann (7), Joey Kelly sets off in a specially converted camper van in the Rhineland - without a penny in his pocket. The challenge the family set themselves: They want to finance their trip through street music, donations and temporary jobs. But it's not just the camper van that soon causes trouble - earning money also turns out to be more difficult than expected. Especially in Nicaragua, Panama and Colombia, the Kelly family reaches its limits.
From Wednesday, January 3, 2024, at 8:15 pm, the family adventure will be available to watch on RTLzwei and then streamed for 30 days via RTL+.
The family had already caused a stir with new music at the beginning of December. Joey Kelly's Family released the song "Nur zusammen" on December 1, which is said to have been written during the Panamericana trip.
Joey Kelly has been married to his wife Tanja Niethen, a former member of the band Bellini, since 2004. Since 2017, he has also been performing again with his siblings as the famous The Kelly Family. Prior to this, Joey Kelly attracted attention for years with his sporting achievements in particular. He is said to have completed over 100 marathons and ultra competitions worldwide.
He also demonstrated his sporting prowess on countless TV entertainment shows, including being one of the most successful participants in the "TV total Wok WM" and winning several times on "Schlag den Star".
