A new Bibi-Blocksberg film is coming to cinemas on December 25, 2025. The first clapperboard fell, according to the production company, at the end of June. The shootings take place in Vienna, Krems an der Donau, Munich and surroundings, and are expected to last until mid-August.

In the new cinematic adventure, Bibi Blocksberg and her friends can attend the international witch congress for the first time, which only takes place every 13 1/3 years. But things don't go according to plan from the start, and Bibi's witchcraft eventually gets out of control, escalating the situation.

Gregor Schnitzler ("The School of Magical Animals", "Playdrive") directs the new film based on a script by Bettina Börgerding. The songs come from the pen of the trio Peter Plate, Ulf Leo Sommer and Joshua Lange. In the leading roles, you can see Nala as Bibi, Carla Demmin as Schubia, Philomena Amari as Flauipaui, and Fia-Marie Lin ("The Voice Kids") as Marita.

In the adult roles, Rosalie Thomass ("The Kangaroo Chronicles", "Grump") plays Bibi's mother, Friedrich Mückes ("Beautiful, Beautiful", "Balloon", "Friendship") plays Bibi's father, and Heike Makatsch plays the witch Servera.

In 2025, the Bibi Blocksberg brand celebrates its 45th anniversary. When the first Bibi-Blocksberg radio play "Witches do exist" was released on August 4, 1980, it was the starting shot for a success story: For years, the series has been among the top spots in the children's audio charts. Meanwhile, there are 152 radio plays, 68 animated films, and countless books. The radio plays and films of the little witch have been sold millions of times.

The new Bibi-Blocksberg film, set to release in Munich cinemas on December 25, 2025, is not only a production in Germany but also extends to Austria, specifically Vienna, for some scenes. This Media project is expected to face numerous Adventures during the shooting period, lasting from the end of June to mid-August.

German director Gregor Schnitzler, renowned for "The School of Magical Animals" and "Playdrive", is bringing his vision to the Bibi Blocksberg cinematic adventure, while songs for the movie are provided by the triple-threat songwriting team of Peter Plate, Ulf Leo Sommer, and Joshua Lange.

The production company has gathered an impressive cast, including Nala as Bibi, Carla Demmin as Schubia, Philomena Amari as Flauipaui, and Fia-Marie Lin from "The Voice Kids" as Marita. In the adult roles, Rosalie Thomass, Friedrich Mückes, and Heike Makatsch add depth and charm to the story.

The upcoming Bibi Blocksberg movie coincides with the 45th anniversary of the brand, which began in 1980 in Bavaria with the release of the first radio play "Witches do exist". Over the years, the series has maintained its popularity, earning top spots in children's audio charts and garnering millions of sales with its 152 radio plays, 68 animated films, and countless books.

As the excitement builds for the new Bibi-Blocksberg film, audiences can't wait to embark on another magic-filled adventure in the world of this beloved character.
